Live Lounge

Watch together,not alone.

Church is better together, even online. Live Lounge is a Zoom room that's open during our Sunday livestream, where you can watch the service with other people — have a laugh, share a thought, say a prayer, and see a few friendly faces.

We open the room a few minutes before the livestream starts, so you can pop in, say hello and settle in. Watch the whole thing or drop in for a bit — there’s no pressure either way.

The problem with watching alone

Ever watched the Sunday livestream on your own and wished you had someone to lean over to?

Watching on YouTube is good, and for a lot of people it’s the easiest way in. But it’s one-way. You catch the talk, maybe drop a comment, and that’s it. It’s hard to feel part of something when you’re on your own on the sofa and everyone else is just a name in a chat feed. That’s exactly why we made Live Lounge.

How it works

The same service — watched in a room full of people.

We still livestream the service on YouTube — but we also play it in a Zoom room, and open that room a few minutes before the service starts. You join, some of our team are there to welcome you, and you watch the whole thing together: have a laugh, share a thought, say a prayer, see a few friendly faces. Think of it as sitting together on the same sofa, just from wherever you happen to be.

There’s no anonymous comment box and no watching alone — just real people doing church together. Watch the whole thing or drop in for a bit; chat between yourselves or jump into the wider conversation. There’s no pressure either way, and cameras are completely optional.

What a Sunday looks like

Three steps, this Sunday.

Join before it starts

We open the room a few minutes before the livestream starts, so pop in, say hello, and settle in. No camera needed and nothing to prepare — come exactly as you are, brew in hand.

Get welcomed

If it's your first time, some of our team will be there to make you welcome. There's genuinely no such thing as a silly question.

Watch it together

We play the livestream in the room and watch as one, the whole way through. Chat between yourselves, jump into the wider conversation, or just listen in — there's no pressure either way.

Why it matters

Belonging beats a comment thread.

Something happens when you watch together instead of alone. You start recognising faces. Conversations carry on from one week to the next. A comment feed can’t do that — but a room full of people can. That’s the whole point of Live Lounge: not slicker content, just real belonging.

One of the easiest ways to meet people at Crowd

If it’s your first time, this is honestly one of the easiest ways to meet people at Crowd. You’ll be made welcome by some of our team, and there’s genuinely no such thing as a silly question.

Join Live Lounge this Sunday

The room’s only open during the livestream — Sundays, 7:00–8:15pm UK time.

Because Live Lounge runs on Zoom, other people will see the name you join with, so we’d suggest joining with just your first name — or a name that isn’t tied to your other social accounts — and treating any conversations you take outside the room as your own responsibility.

Got questions about how it works? Ask away — a real person reads every message.

Fancy being one of the people who makes others feel welcome? Hosting Live Lounge is one of the simplest ways to serve.
