Get Involved

There’s a next stephere for you.

Whether you’re not sure about this whole Jesus thing or you’ve been following him for years and want to plug in properly with Crowd — there’s a next step here for you.

Crowd works because of the people who turn up, get stuck in, ask the questions, pray for each other and serve. We’d love that to include you.

For the curious

Still working out what you think about Jesus?

No pressure, no script, no expectation. Here are the easiest ways in — start where you’d like.

01 — Live Lounge

Watch the livestream with people, not on your own.

Our Sunday livestream is on Facebook and YouTube. But if you’d rather watch alongside actual humans (no camera required, promise), Live Lounge is a Zoom room that runs in parallel from the start of the service. Dip in, listen, type a question, or just hang. Bring a coffee.

Alpha — for the curious
02 — Alpha

15 weeks to ask the hard questions.

Alpha is the course we run for anyone who wants to look at Christianity properly — no assumptions, no pressure, nothing weird.

  • Is there more to life than this?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why pray?

It’s free, it’s online, and it’s the most genuinely no-strings way to explore faith we’ve found.

03 — Just want to read?

The questions people ask.

For the regulars

Want to get more involved with Crowd?

If Crowd is becoming home, here’s how to plug in — from a weekly group to one-Sunday-a-month.

Mid-week community

Where you stop being a face in the crowd and start being a friend.

Sundays are the main course; community groups are where it actually gets digested. Small online groups (over Zoom) that meet weekly to dig into the Bible, share what’s going on in real life, and pray for each other.

“It’s the bit of church where you stop being a face in the crowd and start being a friend.”

Be part of the welcome

You don’t need a skill set. You need a Sunday evening.

Once you’ve found your feet, Live Lounge is one of the simplest ways to serve. Just show up in the Zoom each Sunday during the livestream — chat, welcome newcomers, type a hello in the comments, pray when something lands.

A few more ways to plug in.

Pick what fits

01

Prayer

A prayer team that shares requests and prays together through the week, and 15 minutes of prayer before the Sunday livestream. Join what works.

02

Serve at Crowd

Crowd runs on volunteers — hosting the livestream and Conversation Street, helping run Alpha, 1:1 discipleship, prayer team, tech, design, comms. If you've got time, skills, or both — we'll find the right fit.

  • Hosting
  • Alpha helpers
  • 1:1 discipleship
  • Tech & design
  • Comms
03

Give

Crowd has very low overheads — which means most of what's given goes straight into the mission. If you want to support what we're doing financially, here's how.

04

Get baptised

Made the decision to follow Jesus and want to take the next step? Baptism is it. We do them in person — usually in batches. There's even a Devon road trip happening. Get in touch and we'll talk you through it.

Pay it forward

Tell someone about Crowd.

Most people who end up at Crowd got here because a friend mentioned it over coffee. If Crowd has helped you, the simplest way to pay it forward is to pass it on.

“Come watch this with me on Sunday” is the least scary invite there is.

— A few easy ways to do that
01

Send someone a talk

Every talk on the All Talks page has a shareable link. Pick the one that hit you and text it to a friend.

02

Invite someone to Alpha

For people who want to ask the big questions properly. It's the easiest first step we have.

03

Bring someone into Live Lounge

Sometimes “come watch this with me on Sunday” is the least scary invite there is. Sit in the Zoom together. That’s it.

Not sure where to start?

That's OK. Tell us roughly where you're at and we'll point you to the thing that makes sense. No script, no follow-up funnel, just a reply from a real person.
